Narrative

One was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on I-55 in Bloomsdale at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan 11th. Missouri State Troopers said the driver of Traffic Unit 1 slowed down for a collision ahead when the driver of Traffic Unit 2 collided with a towed unit of Traffic Unit 1. The impact caused Traffic Unit 1 to come to rest off the right side of the road. The driver of Traffic Unit 2 was unharmed. The driver of Traffic Unit 1 was identified as Brandon Etzel, 33, of Paris, Tennessee. Etzel was taken to Mercy Hospital for minor injuries.
