Narrative

FLORISSANT, MO – A driver of a 2011 Nissan Titan lost control of his car and struck a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado head-on, leading the pickup truck driver, a 71-year-old man, to die from his injuries. 

This collision happened around 1:15 p.m. Saturday at the New Halls Ferry Road and Bradwell Drive intersection. 

The 71-year-old man, who was identified as Gary Bozeman, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while the Nissan driver — 55-year-old Virgil Shivers — was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis — for treatment of moderate wounds.
