Narrative
ST. FRANCOIS CO., MO – A head-on collision southeast of Farmington claimed the life of a man early Sunday morning.
The collision took place just after 6 a.m. when a northbound SUV veered into the oncoming lanes of Route OO near Bridge H0500 and slammed head-on into a vehicle heading south.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, 69-year-old Ames E. Pashia, was pronounced dead at the scnee.
The SUV’s driver, 27-year-old Richard W. Sorbie, was airlifted to a hospital in St. Louis in serious condition.
