Narrative
MILLER COUNTY, MO – A 61-year-old man lost his life when he crashed his 1999 Oldsmobile 88 into a utility pole on Blue Spring Drive Sunday evening.
It is unclear what initially caused the driver, identified as Jeffrey Ballew, to cross the center lines and drift into the left side of the road prior to striking the power pole and destroying his vehicle.
Ballew did not wear a seatbelt, and the impact of the collision led him to succumb to fatal wounds at the scene.
Missouri State Highway Patrol launched an investigation and has not provided other details at this time.
