Narrative
MACON CO., MO – One person died, and two people were seriously injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in southeast Macon County.
The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Highway 63 just south of Macon.
Police say that a northbound Chrysler struck a GMC Yukon when the latter vehicle backed out of a driveway onto Highway 63.
Medics airlifted the 53-year-old driver of the Chrysler, identified as Dewayne N. Fraley, to an area hospital.
The driver of the GMC, identified as 55-year-old Sandra D. Williams, also went to the hospital with serious injuries.
A passenger in the Chrysler, 79-year-old Shirley L. Fraley, died at the scene of the accident.
