Narrative
KANSAS CITY, MO – Two people sustained injuries Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in northwest Kansas City.
The accident occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. at Northwest Barry Road and Northwest Waukomis Drive, which is east of St. Luke’s North Hospital in The Coves area.
Police say that an eastbound Vulcan Voyager motorcycle collided with a westbound Chrysler Town and Country minivan when the driver of the latter vehicle initiated at left turn onto Waukomis.
The impact of the collision ejected both the motorcycle operator and passenger.
Medics transported the victims to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the van was not hurt in the accident.
At this time, it’s unclear which driver had the right of way.
