Two drivers were hospitalized after a crash on West Sunshine Street in Brookline around 11 a.m. on February 24th. Missouri State Highway Patrol said the driver of Traffic Unit 1 turned from FM 156 onto West Sunshine Street. He failed to yield and cut off Traffic Unit 2. The driver of Traffic Unit 2 then hit Traffic Unit 1’s driver’s side door. The driver of Traffic Unit 1 was identified as Mathey Fletcher, 74, and the driver of Traffic Unit 2 was identified as 65-year-old Cheryl Mason. Both drivers were taken to separate hospitals for moderate injuries.
