Narrative
MEXICO, MO – A 63-year-old woman was hospitalized, and a 34-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man lost their lives after a head-on crash on Highway 54 Sunday. The Mexico Department of Public Safety said the 34-year-old woman — Kelly Rolando from Pleasant Hill, Illinois — had, for reasons unclear, left her lane and drifted into another when she struck the other vehicle — a Tesla — head-on. The 62-year-old man with Rolando was identified as Jeffery Jappa from St. Louis, Missouri. The 63-year-old woman — Cheryl Pro, also of St. Louis — was sent to University Hospital, where she remains in stable condition.
