Narrative
INDEPENDENCE, MO – An 87-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in north-central Jackson County.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Noland Road and US-40, which is on the south side of Independence near Hy-Vee.
There’s no word yet regarding what caused the accident. Police say a 2011 BMW M3 and a 2013 Dodge Dart collided on the highway.
Medics transported one of the drivers, Charles O. Hall, to a local hospital. Hall died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
