Narrative
CASS CO., MO – A head-on collision near Harrisonville on Wednesday morning claimed two lives and left a third person seriously injured.
The collision took place when a vehicle crossed the center line on MO-291 near 231 Street at about 6:30 a.m. and slammed into an oncoming vehicle.
Police believe the first vehicle crossed into the oncoming lanes after failing to navigate the curve at Home Farm Road.
One victims was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was taken to an area hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries later on. The third victim remains in the hospital with a “disabling injury.”
