EDINA, MO – An 84-year-old man sustained serious injuries Thursday in a head-on collision along a highway in central Knox County.
The incident occurred around 11:10 a.m. on Highway 15 in Edina. This is about 25 miles east of Kirksville.
Police say that two SUVs collided head-on along the highway, seriously injuring one of the drivers, identified as 84-year-old Burbert Fountain.
The other driver did not sustain injuries in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
